Douglas A. Benkelman of Allen, Texas passed away at the age of 84, on August 12, 2026 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen. He was born July 11, 1942 in Springville, NY. to the late Elton and Evelyn (Blemaster) Benkelman. Doug was a highly skilled mechanic and welder, who ran his own company - DB Equipment, in Dallas, TX. He is survived by his wife Frances, children David (Vickie) Benkelman and Tracy (James) Horth, grandchildren David (Cassie) Benkelman, Jr. and Crystal Benkelman, great grandchildren Michael Benjamin, Dylan, and Cienna, and his sister Elaine Gertner, also niece and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Elton and Evelyn and his brother Larry. There will be a private memorial.
