Jose David Meza — beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, grandson and friend — passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by the family who loved him beyond words and who stood beside him with admiration for the tremendous courage he showed throughout his illness.

Jose David was born in Dallas, Texas, on July 27, 1965, to Daniel and Carmen Meza. From the very beginning, his parents inspired in him with the strong family values and deep Catholic faith that would guide every step of his life. He attended Catholic schools and carried his faith with quiet strength, compassion, and devotion.

Family and Faith were the center of Jose David’s world. He was a devoted and loving husband to his cherished wife, Nemecia, and a proud and dedicated father to his son, Anthony. Through every joy and every challenge, Jose David and Nemecia walked hand in hand, leaning on their unwavering faith in God. Their love was a beautiful example of commitment, strength, and grace.

Jose David touched the lives of many with his kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit. He will always be remembered for his strong faith, his loving heart, and the way he made those around him feel safe, supported, and deeply loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nemecia Meza; his son, Anthony Meza; his loving mother, Carmen Meza; his sisters, Teresa Sedighi and Christina Meza; and his brothers, Raymond Meza and Daniel Meza Jr.

He was welcomed into eternal rest by his father, Daniel Meza, and his brothers, Jose Robert Meza and baby Daniel Meza Jr.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with those who went before him. His love, faith, and memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Jose David, will be remembered as our hero who fought his cancer with unwavering courage until his body could fight no more. His beloved wife Nemecia is deeply admired for her tremendous strength and devotion, faithfully standing by his side every step of the way.

David, I am truly grateful for you. I am grateful for the honor of having you as my brother. You are one of God's biggest warriors . You held on to your weapons and never lost hope. You continued to push forward always putting others before your own. I will miss you more than words can ever express. I cannot refer to you in the past tense. Your memory, legion and love will always live in my heart. I love you soooo much!!! I know that you are in Heaven w Dad and Robert and our first born brother Daniel. You fought 3 years against this beast called cancer with God and his weapons of your deep undying faith. Dear brother you won! You are no longer imprisoned by Cancer. The Lord has released you and saved you . Brother you are free!! This is not a goodbye but a see you later. Please save a seat for me next to you. I love you forever! See you in paradise ❤️

I remember my uncle David as a kind and funny man. He loved to watch movies and I loved to watch movies with him! He would always do me a really good movie when I would visit him. I also remember him taking me to get my first dog, Pablito. That dog was my best friend, and thanks to my uncle I got him!

Uncle David was the life of the room. He always came prepared with some cold ones, he was not afraid to crack a joke, and he was overall loving. Thank you Uncle for all your love. -Christy
