Obituary For Robert Houston Legg

Robert Houston Legg - May 4, 1973 - April 13, 2025 Rob leaves behind a legacy of laughter, stories, close family and unforgettable friendships. Rob graduated from Jacksonville High School, went on to attend Tyler Junior College and earned his degree from Texas A&M University, 1995. While at A&M, he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and remained a proud Aggie to his core. Rob never met a stranger. He had a gift for connecting with people through his elaborate, dramatic storytelling and quick wit. His many tattoos, each had a story, that he loved to share. His stories will live on in the hearts of those lucky enough to have heard them — and retold, just as dramatically, by the friends and family he loved most. Rob is survived by his wife, Kristie Boggs, and two sons, Dietrich and Cason Legg, who he was so proud of and loved more than anything in this world. He is also survived by his parents, Robert and Jan Legg; his sisters, Mary Ann Terry (and husband Scott) and Liz Porter (and husband Gary); and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves 2 dogs, Mudflap and Gris-Gris, his foster fails. A celebration of Rob’s life will be held at Oak Highlands Brewery, a place he and his friends loved. A memorial service in Jacksonville, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on May 17th at Trinity Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center, an organization that Rob and Kristie loved and supported.

To Rob's family and loved ones, I was saddened to see the news of Rob's passing. Although I moved away from Jacksonville my 10th grade year, Rob and I played football together at J'ville and were Altar boys at Trinity Episcopal. We had some great times together. Social media has allowed me to keep up with my friends from years past and I've enjoyed seeing Rob's exploits. Fly high my friend....condolences to all..
