Tiera Rose Ortega-Fitzgerald, 16, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022. She was born May 1, 2006 to Melinda Ortega and Tyson Fitzgerald. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 25, at PJH Weger auditorium. Tacos and memories of Tiera will take place beforehand at 12:30 p.m. at PJH cafeteria. It is not possible to sum our sweet girl up in a few paragraphs, but let's try. She was a freshman at Paris High School. She enjoyed all things Tiktok, especially watching other people scratch off lottery tickets. She loved hanging out with her friends and her second family. She adored Stitch (yes, as in Lilo & Stitch) and squishmellows. She was diagnosed with stage 4 Alveolar Rhabodomyosarcoma on June 2, 2021, but she never let cancer define her. She fought hard and made memories. Up until the very end, Tiera reminded her mother of where her siblings needed to be that day and what needed done. She refused to give up and smiled through the pain most days. She is survived by her parents; brothers; TJ, Tyler (Indy), Tyten, and Tytus; sisters, Tessa (Quin) and Tayli; niece, Hazel and nephew Ty-Wayne, with another sweet niece due anyday; and a plethora of extended family, friends, and a community that loved and rallied for her. The family has a Gofundme if you're wishing to contribute.
