In Loving Memory of Abel Erick Morales
Abel Erick Morales, born and raised in Dallas, Texas, passed away suddenly on March 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with depression. Though his departure leaves an unfillable void, his legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to family will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
Abel was born to Orbelin Santamaria and Maria Morales on August 1, 1991, and grew up in a warm and lively household with four brothers and two sisters. From a young age, he learned the value of family, hard work, and perseverance. A proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Abel carried these lessons with him throughout his life.
After high school, Abel followed in his father's footsteps, joining the family business, Obby's Glass Repair. He was exceptionally talented with his hands and took great pride in his craft. Working alongside his father brought him immense joy and purpose. When his father passed away, Abel faced one of the most difficult challenges of his life. Despite the heartache, he honored his father's legacy by growing the business, earning a stellar reputation under his leadership. His father would be proud of the dedication and integrity Abel poured into every project.
Abel was blessed with the two greatest joys of his life, his daughters, Lily and Emma Morales, whom he helped raise with Cecily Pimentel. They were his world, and he cherished every moment with them, ensuring they always felt loved, valued, and important. His devotion to his daughters was unwavering, and his greatest wish was for them to always know how much they meant to him.
Family remained central to Abel's life. Whether it was a Sunday barbecue, a holiday celebration, or simply gathering together, he found joy in being surrounded by those he loved. His infectious laughter, warm presence, and ability to bring people together made every gathering special.
A Catholic, Abel's faith was a quiet but steadfast foundation in his life. He was also a devoted Dallas sports fan, cheering on the Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks, and Stars.
Abel was a hardworking and happy man who believed in enjoying life. He loved a great party, a good conversation, and nothing paired better with these than his favorite seafood dish and an ice-cold Modelo beer.
He now reunites in heaven with his beloved father and grandparents, leaving behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. Abel is survived by his daughters, Lily and Emma Morales, his mother, Maria Morales, his siblings, Hector, Kelly, Joe, Ricardo, Diana, and Christopher, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory.
Though Abel's journey ended too soon, his love, laughter, and the impact he made will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace, embraced by the love of his father and the everlasting warmth of God's grace.
