Jesus Edwardo Alonzo, 59, of Dallas Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 5, 2025. "Edward", as he was most called was born in Dallas Texas on December 3, 1965 to parents Jesus and Lenora Alonzo. Edward attended Special Care School from 1970 until his graduation in 1988. Edward's places of employment included the position as a sacker for Tom Thumb grocery store in Carrollton, TX. He also did custodial work for Lasting Products Home Décor in Farmers Branch, TX. He spent most of his time engaged in watching any Star Wars movie, supporting his beloved Dallas Cowboys, and watching anything on Channel 5. Edward was known for his infectious smile and huge hugs. He could brighten anyone's day immediately. Rest in peace, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Your memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew you and had the privilege of witnessing one of your infectious smiles or embracing one of your huge hugs.
Edward was preceded in death by his father Jesus "Jesse" Alonzo. He has survived by his Mother Lenora Alonzo, brother Eric (Patty) Alonzo, brother Michael (Jessica) Alonzo; nephews and nieces, Justin (Katie) Garcia; Peyton Alonzo; Makayla Alonzo, Brayden Alonzo; grand-nieces Averi and Audri Garcia.
Pall bearers: Peyton Alonzo, Arturo Garcia, Justin Garcia, Jesse Ray Herrera, Albert Peña and Ernest Rangel.
The visitation and Rosary will be Monday, January 13 at Hughes Family Tribute Center. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Prayer service will be Tuesday, January 14, at Hughes Family Tribute Center beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. Burial to follow at 10 AM at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
In celebration of Edwards love of the Dallas Cowboys. Family and friends are encouraged to wear the Dallas Cowboys apparel to either or both of the services.
