Con gran pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida Josefa C. Castellanos, quien partió de este mundo el 3 de enero de 2025, a la edad de 88 años. Nacida el 19 de marzo de 1936 en México, Josefa se aventuró a Estados Unidos en busca de de un futuro mejor, un viaje que reflejaba su fuerza y determinación.
Como madre devota de su hija, Anna Muñoz, y abuela amorosa de Adriana y Camila Velázquez, su familia era el centro de su universo. Josefa nunca perdió la oportunidad de colmarlos de amor, sabiduría y risas. Su pasión por la costura, su alegría al aire libre y su cariño por sus periquitos fueron sólo algunos de los muchos colores que pintaron su vibrante vida.
La fe de Josefa como cristiana la guió durante toda su vida, ofreciéndole consuelo y comunidad. Será recordada no sólo por su espíritu y amabilidad, sino también por el amor que inculcó a todos los que tuvimos la suerte de conocerla.
Los servicios funerarios en honor a la vida de Josefa se llevarán a cabo el 7 de enero de 2025 a las 2:00 p. m. en la Capilla, y el velorio comenzará a las 12:00 p. m. Después del servicio, será enterrada a las 3:00 p.m. en Crown Hill Memorial Park.
A Josefa Castellanos le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Isidro y Natalia Castellanos.
Aunque ha partido de esta vida, su amor y legado seguirán brillando en los corazones de su familia y amigos. Mientras nos reunimos para recordarla, invitamos a todos los que conocieron a Josefa a unirse a nosotros para celebrar una vida bellamente vivida.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Josefa C. Castellanos, who left this world on January 3, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on March 19, 1936, in Mexico, Josefa ventured to the United States in search of a brighter future, a journey that reflected her strength and determination.
As a devoted mother to her daughter, Anna Munoz, and a loving grandmother to Adriana and Camila Velazquez, her family was the center of her universe. Josefa never missed an opportunity to shower them with love, wisdom, and laughter. Her passion for sewing, her joy in the outdoors, and her affection for her parakeets were just a few of the many colors that painted her vibrant life.
Josefa's faith as a Christian guided her throughout her life, offering her comfort and community. She will be remembered not just for her spirit and kindness, but for the love she instilled in all of us who were lucky enough to know her.
Funeral services to honor Josefa's life will be held on January 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. After the service, she will be laid to rest at 3:00 PM at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
Josefa Castellanos is preceded in death by her parents, Isidro and Natalia Castellanos.
Though she has departed from this life, her love and legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends. As we gather to remember her, we invite everyone who knew Josefa to join us in celebrating a life beautifully lived.
