Kenneth Mark Deubner, known simply as Mark to those who loved him, departed from this world at the age of 77, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, intellect, and unwavering dedication to helping others. A giver by nature, Mark devoted his life to serving those around him, often putting others before himself in ways that truly defined his character.
Born on August 19, 1947 in Richmond, Indiana; grew up in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from Sunset High School in 1965. His passion for understanding people led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Education and Psychology at North Texas State University. After graduating, he taught children with special needs, a role that perfectly reflected his patience and compassionate spirit.
After much reflection on how he could make an even greater impact, Mark set his sights on law. He earned his Juris Doctor from St. Mary's University School of Law in 1990, officially becoming Kenneth Mark Deubner, Esquire. He began practicing criminal law, a career that demanded sharp intellect and quick reflexes-something he handled with skill and dedication. After many years in the fast-paced world of criminal defense, he transitioned into corporate law, where he continued his mission of advocating for others.
Mark approached life with a keen mind, a generous heart, and a commitment to justice. He was a deep thinker, a fierce advocate, and someone who could always be counted on in times of need.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie and Kenneth Deubner; his sister, Jessica; and his nephews, Jason Deubner, Michael DuPriest, and James Gonzalez. He is survived by his many siblings-Charmaine, Becky, Melanie, Therese, Celeste, Kevin, and Annie; his brother-in-law, Michael Landay, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mark's departure leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his generosity, wisdom, and dedication to others will not be forgotten. In honor of his life, may we all strive to give a little more, just as he did.
