Maria Isabel Celis
December 9, 1961 – March 21, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Isabel Celis, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born on December 9, 1961, in Durango, Mexico, to Pedro Hernandez and Emilia Rueda. On March 21, 2025, she peacefully passed away in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.
Maria Isabel was a woman of deep faith, unwavering love, and immense kindness. Her Catholic beliefs were the foundation of her life, and she held a strong devotion to El Niño de Atocha and the Virgin Mary. She found great comfort in prayer and lived each day with a heart full of gratitude and faith.
Family was the center of Maria Isabel's world. She dedicated herself to her loved ones with an open heart, always putting their happiness before her own. She was the glue that held everyone together, always ensuring that family gatherings were filled with love, laughter, and, of course, delicious food. She had a special gift in the kitchen, where she lovingly prepared homemade flour tortillas and Thanksgiving turkey-traditions that will be cherished and continued in her honor.
Maria Isabel had a bright and joyful spirit, and her love for life was evident in the little things. She adored the colors red and white, which reflected the warmth and purity of her heart. She had a signature style, always dressing up with a touch of glitter, radiating confidence and elegance. Her favorite pastimes included watching La Rosa de Guadalupe, a show that resonated with her faith and values. And she always had a Dr. Pepper in hand, a simple joy that brought her comfort.
Her presence brought light to every room she entered. Whether through her words of wisdom, her warm embrace, or her laughter, Maria Isabel made sure that those around her felt loved and cared for. She taught those she loved the importance of faith, resilience, and generosity.
Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find solace in knowing that her spirit will live on in the countless memories she created and the love she shared. Maria Isabel's legacy will continue through the traditions she instilled in her family, the faith she held dear, and the kindness she extended to all.
She is survived by her loving family, who will forever cherish the impact she made in their lives. While she may no longer walk beside us, her love will guide us always, like a gentle whisper from heaven.
Rest in peace, Maria Isabel. You are deeply loved and will be forever missed.
