Jimmy Newton Burfield was born on May 30, 1964, in Abilene, Texas as the son of James Burfield and Katherine Burfield. Jimmy passed from this life unexpectedly on November 25, 2023, in Dallas, TX.
When Jimmy was a young man, he proudly served in the United States Army and the National Guard. After his military service, he became a Master Electrician and a successful business owner of JB Electric Service through all regions of Texas. Jimmy resided in Pottsboro, TX for the remaining years of his life.
Among his many hobbies were fishing, canning his own veggies and hot sauce, riding his Harley Davidson, building classic muscle cars, supporting his community, and spending quality time with his family.
If you knew Jimmy, you were aware of his enormous personality and his larger-than-life presence. He had an incredible love for his family and enjoyed life to the fullest. Jimmy was a man of courage and a man you could not forget. He gave up so much of his own life to assist everyone in need, regardless of age, wealth, or status. He believed that everyone had equal value and worth in life. As a result, he was able to make a difference for a great number of people.
Jimmy is survived by his children Justin Burfield and Victoria Burfield and son-in-law (Jake Gorman); grandchildren Meka Fields and Nash Gorman; brother Ricky Burfield and sister-in-law Roxan Burfield, sister Sabra Mason and brother-in-law Eddie Mason; nephews Jared Burfield and Michael Burfield and many beloved Aunts and Uncles.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Danny, Jack, and Michael; uncles James, Wade, and Michael; nephew Danny; and parents.
